Our Story

High School sweethearts since 1997. Married since 2005. Parents of two rambunctious kids. With an insatiable thirst for adventure.

We're the Baxleys.

Those who know us know we don't stay put in one place for too long. We're always announcing our next big adventure to the shock and sometimes sadness of our family and friends. But they've come to understand—we have the itch. To do something different. Find our own way. Explore the world.

During college, we studied abroad in London together. The day after graduation we packed a U-Haul and set off for Chicago so I could pursue a post-grad program. Eventually, we returned to Texas to be closer to family and settled in Austin to launch our careers. But we couldn't give up on our dream of making it in New York City. We successfully built our careers in NYC for 11 years—the longest we've ever lived in one place. We made a beautiful life there—one that will stay with us forever.

But we’re on to our next big adventure.

A new country. A new career. A new chapter.

“If we were meant to stay in one place, we’d have roots instead of feet.”

— Rachel Wolchin

As part of Western Europe, it doesn't have the same swag that, say, Spain or France . . .
